It is with great sadness that we announce that we are cancelling the remainder of our summer season.

We spoke to LL officials this morning regarding the two positive COVID tests involving players in our summer league, and they advised us to consult with our local health department. The advice from the health department was that due to the risk of obvious community spread, we should cancel.

Your volunteer board has spent hours (and hours and hours) trying to find a way that would make it ok to continue play, but the consensus is that for the safety of the players and families in our league, as well as the Dexter community, we need to do our part to reduce the spread of COVID.

I appreciate your grace and understanding with regard to this decision. It was not an easy one for us to make.
