Saturday Championship Day, Home Run Derby, and Summer League

It's an exciting week in Dexter Little League! Tournament games are taking place in the evenings and leading up to championship games this Saturday, June 11.

In the morning, we start off with our Tee ball games and then we’ll have championship games from 11:30am until about 4:30pm at Creekside. We hope you will stop by to cheer on the great efforts made by these teams!

Homerun Derby

We’re going to have a homerun derby again this year as part of our Championship day fun on Saturday! The homerun derby is always a blast (pun intended) for the kids. We make adjustments based on their division so everyone has fun. Some players were waiting to see if they would be in a championship game, but don't worry--players who may be in championship games can sign up as well and we'll schedule them in.

We also need a volunteer derby pitcher for our baseball players. The pitcher will toss easy-to-hit pitches from behind an L-screen for safety. If you can help us out with that, please repond to [email protected] to let us know.

Summer League

Finally, don't forget that summer league registration is open now. You can register directly on the Dexter Little League Website: Registration

All summer league games are in the evenings Monday through Thursday with two games a week for an 8-game season from July 11 through August 5.

Summer league is more relaxed and many kids “play up” to the division they will play in next spring. For example, if your player is eligible for kid pitch next year, we open up eligibility so they can get used to it this summer.
